Founder & President

Rob Goldstone

Celebrity publicist, journalist, broadcaster, author and music manager Rob Goldstone has worked across the entertainment industry for more than three decades.

The newsroom years

Born in Manchester, Goldstone began as a journalist, working with Independent Radio News, LBC, BRMB Radio, The Birmingham Post, The Sunday Mirror and The Sun before moving to Sydney to cover news and entertainment for Australian Associated Press.

In 1989, Michael Jackson invited him to travel on the Australian leg of the BAD tour—an experience that gave Goldstone a rare, close-up view of the global music industry.

From PR to global music marketing

Goldstone left journalism to co-found The Crawford Goldstone Organization, which became one of Australia’s leading music publicity companies. The company represented touring artists including Cyndi Lauper, Julio Iglesias, James Taylor, Tracy Chapman, BB King, UB40, Simply Red and Marianne Faithfull, alongside corporate clients such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Hard Rock Cafe, Virgin Megastores and HMV Music.

After returning to England in 1991, HMV Group recruited Goldstone to lead international marketing. As Head of International Marketing, he shaped global strategy and helped launch the music retail brand in Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Japan and Australia. In 1992, he moved to the United States as HMV’s Vice President of US Marketing and joined the board of directors.

Oui 2 Entertainment

In 1997, Goldstone co-founded Oui 2 Entertainment with David Wilson, Founder & Director. The Manhattan and London-based company has represented musicians, performers and entertainment brands, with work spanning talent including Quentin Tarantino, Tom Cruise, Betty White and Martin Scorsese, as well as brands such as Best Buy, Warner TV, Friars Club, Sessions at West 54th and EMI Music Publishing.

In 2012, Goldstone became worldwide manager for Azerbaijan-born pop star EMIN. He helped broker the deal that brought the Miss Universe pageant to Russia for the first time in 2013, watched by more than a billion viewers, and continues to manage EMIN’s music career and Dreamfest International Music Festival in Baku.

A voice beyond the stage

Goldstone is the author of Pop Stars, Pageants & Presidents: How an Email Trumped My Life, published in 2018, and hosts the weekly An Englishman In... podcast, speaking with leading political, media and cultural figures.

In 2021, he launched Oui 2 Entertainment’s UK division in London. Goldstone continues to work across both sides of the Atlantic.

Early career

Company director David Wilson co-founded Oui 2 Entertainment, with longtime partner Rob Goldstone, in 1997.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Wilson began his PR career in Sydney at the Crawford Goldstone Organization, then one of Australia's leading entertainment and lifestyle firms. He later moved to London and, a few years after that, to New York, where he studied at NYU.

Clients & placements

His clients have included Joe Cocker, Lisa Stansfield, Warner Bros. Television, Douglas Hannant, EMI Music Publishing, Concord Records, Phoebe Snow, Atlantic Records, HMV Records, and the New York Friars Club.

Notable placements include Blues great Joe Bonamassa's first magazine cover, in Guitar Player, and the Billboard cover for music-publishing executive Jon Platt — the first Billboard cover ever given to a publisher. Recently Wilson headed up a media campaign — which exploded into worldwide exposure — to question the "greenwashing" of the stock market and the personal experiences of stock market insider, Tariq Fancy.

On the ground

Colleagues know him for a hands-on, high-energy presence on crowded red carpets and for keeping complex, celebrity-heavy productions on track.

Oui 2 events include Sting in Central Park; the groundbreaking of the Harlem Redevelopment Project, with performances by Mary J. Blige and Dionne Warwick; Friars Club Roasts of Betty White and Quentin Tarantino; Jerry Lewis's 90th-birthday celebration; respective galas honoring Tony Bennett, Tom Cruise, and Martin Scorsese; the Caron Foundation gala honoring Clive Davis and Judy Collins; and campaigns for Steinway & Sons, including Billy Joel's induction into the Steinway Hall of Fame.

Non-profits

Wilson has also repped non-profits including the Fisher Center for Alzheimers Research, the Caron Foundation, the Girls & Boys Club, the Wayuu Taya Foundation and the Association of Community Programs for the Homeless.
